Above are just TWO examples of the B.S. that I have to deal with when I request PUBLIC INFORMATION
from the CITY OF HAMBURG !!
FIRST OF ALL, the CITY OF HAMBURG has FOUR CITY COUNCILMEMBERS, but THREE OTHER PEOPLE ARE REALLY 'CALLING THE SHOTS' in the City and THOSE THREE, ALL BELONG IN JAIL !!
1.) Was the REFUSAL of CITY CLERK/TREASURER JEREMY GRUENHAGEN to provide me with PUBLIC CITY INFORMATION that I was seeking, GRUENHAGEN'S SOLE 'LONE WOLF' DECISION/ACTION or was he DIRECTED, by other HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS; to make that REFUSAL ? WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
2.) If GRUENHAGEN'S REFUSAL was at the DIRECTION of OTHER HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS, who were those OTHER CITY OFFICIALS and what was their reason for issuing such a DIRECTIVE to GRUENHAGEN ? WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
3.) On October 21, 2019, GRUENHAGEN submitted a FRAUDULENT E-MAIL (an 'OFFICIAL' CITY DOCUMENT) to me containing FALSE and FABRICATED INFORMATION that he KNEW TO BE UNTRUE; in response to my request to view a civil lawsuit served on the City on July 31, 2019. In said e-mail, GRUENHAGEN LIED by stating, "Since the pleadings have been filed, you can get them from the Carver County Court Administrator." In actuality and as VERIFIED by the CARVER COUNTY DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR, the CASE HAD NOT BEEN FILED with the Court and WAS NOT FILED, as GRUENHAGEN FALSELY and FRAUDULENTLY STATED; until November 1, 2019; possibly as late as November 6, 2019. IMAGINE THAT: HAMBURG'S CITY CLERK/TREASURER, LIES !! WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ? (From my 'dealings with GRUENHAGEN over the years, it almost seems like 'HALF TRUTHS' and DECEPTION are 'prerequisits' for the job !)
4.) When GRUENHAGEN LIED, PREPARED and SUBMITTED, a FALSE and FABRICATED E-MAIL (an 'OFFICIAL' CITY DOCUMENT); that he KNEW CONTAINED UNTRUE INFORMATION, was that GRUENHAGEN'S SOLE 'LONE WOLF' DECISIONS/ACTIONS, or was he DIRECTED by other HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS to COMMIT SAID HEINOUS ATROCITIES ? WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
5.) If GRUENHAGEN'S ACTIONS, as described in 4.) above were at the DIRECTION of OTHER HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS, who were those OTHER CITY OFFICIALS and what was their reason for issuing such DIRECTIVES to GRUENHAGEN ? WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
6.) Speaking of the civil lawsuit naming the CITY OF HAMBURG as the DEFENDENT, and that's 'DRAGGED ON' for nearly FIVE YEARS; I've heard 'rumblings', that the CITY OF HAMBURG WASTED between $80,000.00 and $100,000.00 TAXPAYER DOLLARS in legal and other 'case-related' fees and expenses. City residents are ENTITLED TO KNOW, and HAVE EVERY 'RIGHT' TO KNOW; the TOTAL COST OF ATTORNEY'S FEES PAID TO 'contract' HAMBURG CITY ATTORNEY KELLY C. DOHM's WACONIA BASED LAW FIRM; MELCHERT, HUBERT & SJODIN , the TOTAL COST of legal fees paid to OTHER LAWYER'S and LAW FIRMS as well as ALL OTHER COSTS and DISBURSEMENTS related to the civil lawsuit brought against the CITY OF HAMBURG. Also, THE LAWSUIT CONCLUDED nearly 18 MONTHS AGO; WHY ; as of May 12, 2024; is the 'TITLE' to the 'SUBJECT PROPERTY' STILL IN THE ORIGINAL PROPERTY OWNER'S NAME ? WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
That makes as much sense as the security lights at the HAMBURG SERVICE MEMORIAL being LEFT 'ON' 24/7 SINCE LAST SUMMER and the electric City Sign STILL DISPLAYING CENTRAL STANDARD TIME; which ENDED MORE THAN TWO MONTHS AGO !! WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
7.) I have been made aware of several SERIOUS 'incidents', CRIMINAL in nature; that have taken place AFTER completing my four year term as a HAMBURG CITY COUNCILMEMBER (2013-2017) One of the 'events' was the burglarizing of the HAMBURG COMMUNITY HALL/CITY SHOPS and the theft of City owned tools therefrom. Initially the Carver County Sheriff's Department was summoned and took a report of the burglary, damage done to the lock on the building's door where entrance to the building was presumed to be gained and the 'loss' sustained. Upon securing a copy of the Incident Report from the Carver County Sheriff's Office, I noted (paraphrasing) that the 'incident' was requested to be 'closed' without any further investigation, by HAMBURG CITY CLERK/TREASURER JEREMY GRUENHAGEN. WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
8.) This action immediately caught my attention and I requested information from the City as to the IDENTITY OF THE SUSPECT(s) or actual PERPETRATOR(s), further information, details and circumstances of the incident and whether the CITY OF HAMBURG was REIMBURSED for the damage done/sustained to the building and, if so; WHO MADE THE REIMBURSEMENT to the CITY OF HAMBURG and the AMOUNT OF REIMBURSEMENT that the City received. WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
The CITY OF HAMBURG FLATLY REFUSED to provide me with the requested information regarding 7.) above which, as you will learn; was very 'troubling' coupled with information about various other CRIMINAL ACTS AGAINST THE CITY, NOT ALWAYS REPORTED to the CARVER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; presumably; because of the IDENTITY OF THE PERPETRATOR(s). WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
It is impractical for me to 'reiterate' here, the other CRIMINAL ACTS that I was told of; it's best to read the letter I sent to Lund on March 29th, 2024; available at www.THEDELTASHOW.COM/HAMBURGMAYORCHRISLUND.html which will provide you with more details. It appears to me that the FOUR CITY COUNCILMEMBERS aren't FULLY AWARE of what's taking place in our City. Perhaps they're 'intimidated' by the 'THREE MUSKATEERS' !!
BUT; one particular incident readers of this Website will find VERY DISTURBING was VANDALISM to a tree in BI-CENTENNIAL PARK where the BARK was (literally) CHOPPED OFF THE TRUNK OF THE TREE by someone using a 'claw hammer' !! FURTHER DAMAGE WAS ALSO DONE to the doors of CITY BUILDINGS at BI-CENTENNIAL PARK; ALSO believed to have been done with a 'claw hammer' !!.
When HAMBURG CITY CLERK/TREASURER JEREMY GRUENHAGEN was asked, in private by a City resident; (paraphrasing) "WHO DAMAGED THE TREE IN THE PARK WITH A 'CLAW HAMMER'"; GRUENHAGEN replied to the City resident, (paraphrasing) "LUND'S KID; BUT THE CITY WANTS TO 'KEEP IT QUIET' !!" (But I already KNEW that; I had PREVIOUSLY been told that by TWO HAMBURG RESIDENTS !!) PUBLIC OFFICIALS who think it's OK to want to 'KEEP IT QUIET' have a SERIOUS DEFICIENCY of INTEGRITY, HONESTY and ETHICS !! That's ALSO known as 'COVER UP'; certainly NO STRANGER to the CITY OF HAMBURG !!
9.) Then there's the UNREPORTED INTENTIONAL VANDALISM to the basketball court (reportedly $1,100.00); the INTENTIONAL VANDALISM to the electric City Sign in BI-CENTENNIAL PARK (reportedly $1,400.00) and the UNREPORTED INTENTIONAL VANDALISM to the 'SHOWPIECE' of our City (and Brad Droege); the HAMBURG SERVICE MEMORIAL that was built with DONATED FUNDS and LABOR !! Again; my requests for PUBLIC INFORMATION were INTENTIONALLY THWARTED BY THE CITY !! WHERE IS THE 'ACCOUNTABILITY' ?
Yet, when I try to get PUBLIC INFORMATION from the CITY OF HAMBURG about the above above and other incidents that have taken (or still taking) place, see 8.) above, I get 'STONEWALLED' by the 'THREE MUSKETEERS' because they DON'T WANT RESIDENTS TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN THEIR LITTLE 'EMPIRE'; they CERTAINLY don't want ANYONE to 'ROCK THEIR BOAT' or 'UPSET THEIR LITTLE APPLE CART' !!

MISCONDUCT OF PUBLIC OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE
A public officer or employee who does any of the following, for which no other sentence is specifically provided by law, may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 364
days or to payment of a fine of not more than $3,000, or both:
(1) intentionally fails or refuses to perform a known mandatory, non-discretionary, ministerial duty of the office or employment within the time or in the manner required by law; or
(2) in the capacity of such officer or employee, does an act knowing it is in excess of lawful authority or knowing it is forbidden by law to be done in that capacity; or
(3) under pretense or color of official authority intentionally and unlawfully injures
another in the other's person, property, or rights; or
(4) in the capacity of such officer or employee, makes a return, certificate, official report, or other like document having knowledge it is false in any material respect.
